After working in educational publishing for 10 years and receiving an MFA in Creative Nonfiction, I made the jump to classroom teaching in 2012. I student-taught 7th grade and then was lucky enough to get a job at the high school the next fall. I’ve taught college freshmen, middle schoolers and 9th, 10th, and 11th graders.

There are so many interesting teaching ideas out there, that this blog is my way of keeping track of the ones I want to remember–and of giving myself a place to reflect on what happens in the classroom. Teachers need teachers in order to stay in this profession, so I hope you find something helpful here or add a comment yourself! Thanks for reading.
